1. I am a legal alien.
I was born in Canada and moved to the USA in 1999, first to Grand Rapids then to Indianapolis. I am still Canadian at heart but have found a home here in the heartland.
2. I am in a “My Girl Friend is more famous than your girl friend” contest with my best friend.
I have known Davin since the 6th grade. His partner is Gayla Trail, who wrote “You Grow Girl” that has sold a bazillion copies. She was recently featured in JPG magazine. My girlfriend is Sarah “Intellagirl” Robbins who is a rising star in virtual world academics and pedagogy. Davin and I both feel honored to be the “and guest” on the invitations.
3. I recorded a punk rock record
My band in Toronto, Agent Cooper, recorded a 6 song record in the summer of 1998 called “Dischordia”. Let me know if you want a copy.
4. I went to the USSR
When I was 16, I went on a school trip to the Soviet Union in May 1986 just a few days after the Chernobyl disaster. I had a great time and the trip changed my perspective on the world.
5. I write detective novels
I have one detective novel written and three more planned. I am hoping to edit the first one this summer and write the second one. They are about a university police officer at a Midwest university.
